Can anyone tell me the name of the fish that are found at the bottom of the River Lee in Cork City
Someone told me a few years ago and I have forgotten what they are called. I was walking over the bridge beside parnell place (the bus station in Cork city and saw hundreds of fish in the River Lee but have forgotten what they are called.
The Mullets found at the river bed in the river Lee are NOT suitable for eating as they are found in the sewers. This explains why the river Lee is a cloudy dirty kind of colour.
Hey Cisco
Mullet

they are mullet. the River Liffey is also full of them. They are dirty fish and very difficult to catch with a rod and hook as they have a soft mouth which the hook pulls through when you try to land them.Don't try to eat them as they are full of bones.
