Wishing Well

Can anyone tell me what do you put on a form online that looks for a postcode?

I am from Co Donegal Ireland and we have no postcodes here. I am trying to submit an application form online but I am stuck with the postcode bit. I get a message saying "oops something is not right". The problem is with the box where you fill in your postcode. I have left it blank and it won't submit and I typed in none and that doesn't work either. Does anyone know how you get your way around this?

I usually enter 0000, this seems to work.

I usually type xxxxxx or EIre or N/A something will work keep trying. Don't make up a real UK postcode that will just confuse things when the form is processed.

If you still have problems try contacting the company concerned via email or telephone if there is a number and ask them what to do.

I usually put in a dash like this -
and it works for me.

My mum used to get mail from abroad with numbers attached for a postcode. And of course we don't have postcodes here. We never had the heart to tell the senders that what they actually put in was her phone number !!! (Might work for you too !!)

Éirerua
Just put in 00, that's what I always do cause I have no post code either where I live and I always get whatever I order delivered straight to my door without any fuss. Because if you think about it 00 stands for noting

scarbouro
i no it sounds stupid but you just have to make one up.they seem to forget our little country isnt part of the uk!!

The problem is with the form - it obviously expects you to be in the UK.
You might just have to make up a postcode. The one for the Houses of Parliament is SW1A 0AA, why don't you try that?

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge

Try putting in a series of random numbers.
The form is using javascript programming and it won't let you submit it or go on unless some numbers are written in the box.

I'm from Donegal too.I put None or just - and it usually works.

Argh! This so familiar to me! *fellow Donegalar!* I type in my boyfriends post code as he has a house in the North so it's fairly close to where we live as sometimes nothing other than a "valid" postcode will do. I'm sure you will get those postcodes on the net if you google them, it is usually just required to give whoever you are submitting the form to an idea as to where you live.
