Ring the taxi office in Swords or Malahide or Portmarnock. There is bound to be one cab driver that keeps a child seat in the boot, for such an event.
I could get you there myself in 10 minutes, but I don't have a car seat either. |

No!! Its against the law and completely ridiculous! if the taxi crashed she would be the one to get hurt, probably by flying through the windscreen! I know the airport isnt far from swords but do you really want to risk your daughters life?
I dont think the taxi driver would agree to it anyway!! |

No it would be better if she has her own seatbelt. The chances of an accident may be small but its not impossible so its not worth taking the chance. |

No your child has to be seated properly in a child seat designed for the job.You need to as the taxi firm if they have child seats where the child can be safe.
If the taxi has a collision then your child will be propelled forward with great force and a collision at thirty means your child will hit any object in front at an impact speed of sixty miles an hour which will be fatal.
By law all passengers and drivers must be secured in cars regardless of age unless there are medical reasons for not doing so and I know you would never forgive yourself if something happened and the child needs you help to ensure its safety as responsible adult and mother.
Most taxi firms have child seats just ask them.
Most accidents happen on short journeys and at low speeds. |

No - does she have to be in a car seat in your car? if so, she has to be in a car seat in the taxi. no matter how short the trip. If you don't want to take a car seat on holiday, and I completely understand if you don't, ask the taxi service if there is a taxi with a babyseat for you. |

Tricky one. You cant take the seat on holiday really. I would try and get a lift from a family member, then they can take your car seat back, cheaper that way aswell |
