La la la

Can someone reword this using a little Irish flavor?

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I was just wondering what a pretty girl like yourself was doing sitting over here all by herself?"

The Nine Lives of Laura Gonzales
I'm assuming you're writing a story or something? The way you have it worded there is fine. Contrary to popular belief, we don't actually talk like leprechauns. =] If you were to word it any other way, it'd just sound forced and unnatural.

That's how an Irish person would say it. But I'd change "yourself" to "you" because otherwise there's too many "selfs". Don't say "bonnie lass", that's more of a Scottish phrase really.

"Sorry, I did not mean to frighten you. I was just wondering to myself 'What's a bonnie lass like her doing sitting alone' ".

That could work.

Duh
I hereby submit my entry for worst Irish flavoring (which, now that I re-read seems more Australian - Maybe the Geico Gecko):

Beg pardon, luv - no offense. Gave you a bit of a fright, eh? Thing is, I's just thinking to meself why a lovely, wee lass as yerself be hangin' about here all by yer lonesome?
