I use the aa route planner to get directions around Ireland. It's a good site.

AA Road watch is fantastic for giving directions as they give you directions, and they mention landmarks also to it makesm them very easy to follow

With all the reconstruction of roads going on around Galway, the easiest thing to do is stop and ask someone how to get to where you want to go.

Sorry, but I don't have time for those Sat Nav thingies. They only add to the social isolation created by the modern technology.

Its easy. Drive to the north. Cross border. ASk for Galway. Then you are very near. A few more hours in that direction. No need for a map. Keep it simple. This kind of question could only be asked in Ireland.

Depends on where you are coming from. But getting around in Ireland is easier then what people think. Pick up a map or a travel book and it will have the main roads to all the main cities.

You should try Yahoo maps.

If you mean "by car", don't bother. There is nowhere in the city to park without hassle, all the little streets are grid-locked with traffic and the shops are packed with tourists. You would be better off to go further to the West and then come into town on the Connemara bus.

Google earth have a nice mapping system. Or try Yahoo Maps. Or invest in a GPS system or an old fashioned map
