Yes, come on over and bring plenty of notes with you. We will take anything, Scottish, English, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Welsh notes(if the Welsh produce any---I can't recall). We mightn't take a cheque though! |

Yes you can use English notes in Northern Ireland. Acceptance of Scottish notes are at the discretion of whoever you are transacting with. |

Needs Help

you can use the English notes with no problem but don't worry about taking too much money of any one kind because you can just withdraw what you need from a bank machine instead of taking too much of one. |

Hello,
Yes, you can use both units of currency, but for Scottish £s this is always at the discretion of the shop/pub/hoteland garage proprietors, I would suggest changing to Northern Irish money before you travel, and if you don't take enough with you, you can al;ways change more should you need to later, But feel assured you will most certainly be able top use scottish and English money with virtual parity with the Irish pounds, should you wander south of the border remember you will need to have Euro's instead, but even there the odd place will change English and Scottish money but outside of the banks you may find yourself paying dear for your Euros. Anyway enjoy your holiday and don't worry about money, that is only money, have fun, some of it is free you know....Tony M. |
