Hostels are a good alternative to camping. Some sites of both below.

orla c: thanks very much for the info. last time i looked at a map of ireland giants causeway was well situated in ireland not in britain. you should be quite proud you've chased off another visitor to our shores.

edit: hail hail its celtic keira, thanks very much for the feedback, but i feel oblidged to point out that many british people including yourself do somewhat take the vantage point that the north of ireland is indeed part of britain so in otherwords dont ever call me out! i always play with a full deck, i doubt very much you can take me.

We stayed at the Causeway Hotel, right at the Causeway, and found their 3 night half board package very reasonable. It was a very nice hotel and the meals were huge.

Wow - well Giants Causeway is certainly on the island of Ireland, and yep it is in Northern Ireland.

Cheap accom to found anywhere in the north coast really - Portstewart, Portrush, Bushmills all quite close. There's a small t5ain that takes you from Bushmills direct to the Causeway and you will find that a tour of the distillery is great fun too.

the giants causeway isn't in ireland
but it isn't in britain either its in the UK

Is máith liom cáca millís!
Mr Funky Pants;
Orla is correct. The Giants Causeway is politically situated in the UK, she never said it was part of Britain though.

Orla C
You need to look in the UK section for this, as the Giants' Causeway is in Northern Ireland which is still officially part of the United Kingdom.
