I am also going to Ireland in July and as of now, I've found that American Airlines was the cheapest. If I were you though, I'd wait to book until March-ish. It seems that air travel is cheaper when the date is closer.

although ryan air may be cheap here, they catch you out big time on how much luggage you carry, then they will rip you off that way.

Ryanair is dirt cheap (a couple of euro within europe per flight plus taxes, not sure about US specifics but it will be cheap). . .but dont be expecting high standards . . . at all!

XL pmsl ! i wouldnt got on a plane i would rather take the ferry but that me. it might be cheaper if u dont mind the sea.
