La la la

Colloquial Irish phrases having to do with sleeping?

I am looking for some colloquial Irish phrases with the same meaning as "dead as a door nail," "out like a light," "fast asleep," etc. Basically something that means someone is sleeping very soundly and would be hard to wake up (doesn't necessarily have to do with alcohol, though).

Thanks!

Out for the count.

Off to the land of nod.

Having a doze.

Working in Seannad Eireann (that's enough to put anyone to sleep).

Counting sheep.

Nodding off.

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge
Slept like a log is our favourite although we've never seen a sleeping log, apart from Twin Peaks that is.........

gaspipe

The only ones I would use to describe a very deep sleep would be Dead to the World, Out for the count, but I don't think they are Irish? or are they?

barbara b
out for the count, or conked out, that's all I can think off, apart from counting z's, or zonked

Are you looking for phrases in English or as Gaeilge?

Crazygirl
Shure milk with of honey and dido like music. Something calming and not angry.

Shure what is with the tumbs down. Are ye scared of Milk and Honey.

Oh I suspect Dido. Shure I have been listen to her for years. Ye are a tad bit sad to get angry at innocent Dido. The album was dedicated to her dead dad.

But shure your all too angry to hear her words.

Have a listen. But ye never will. It was from another album. The 1st or 2nd she had.

Not that other one that is not P.C.

Oh dear Dido is not P.C now. lol
