I have to disagree with you - we flew into it shortly after completion in 2005 and thought it was great, far better than Dublin! It was clean, you didn't have to walk miles to get in/out and the breakfast in the restaurant was very good value for an airport (and very tasty). The car hire facilities and location are convenient - the only thing missing is a rail link (although I understand the bus connection is good).
