irish rail is different dart is within a certain area

DART is simply a brand name for the electrified suburban network around Dublin.
All trains in the republic are operated by Iarnrod Eireann (Irish Rail).

The DART only goes through some parts of Dublin. If you're looking for the trains that go all over Ireland they are by Iarnrod Eireann. If its Dublin to Belfast/Belfast to Dublin there is also an Enterprise train, though its more expensive and less frequent than the Iarnrod Eireann trains. I hope I've helped!!
Good Luck!!

the DART is a light rail network running between the city and the coastal suburbs north and south Dublin and Wicklow. There is of course a national train network. The main Dublin train stations are Heuston and Connolly Stations. You can go almost anywhere by train, except direct to Donegal. If going to Belfast direction, you take the train at Connolly. Heuston does mainly the south and west and Connolly does some of these as well.

the DARTis just in dublin. iarnroid eireann(irish railroad) is all over the country

DART is "Dublin Area Rapid Transit" - local to that area. Yes, there is an Irish railway - I can't spell it properly but it's something like Compass Eirean (and sincere apologies to all Irish people !)

Only Sometimes
The "irishrail" is called Iarnrod Eireann. The DART travels all over Ireland.

The Dart is a metro/tube like train that travels overground on the same line as main line trains. It runs from North Dublin to Greystones on the East coast. The 'ordinary' rail network is the same as other countries and covers all Ireland.
