I live in County Limerick, and for me a day trip would be to the Cliffs of Moher, or to the Dingle Peninsula, or the Lakes of Killarney, or Cork city, or Killaloe, or Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, or any of the other sites in Clare, or Cashel, or Cahir, or any of the national parks within a couple of hours away by car.

You need to tell us where you're starting out from. From Dublin you could go to Newgrange, for example.

Irish cutie!!
Ring of kerry is good but west cork is Better excellent scenery!!

Go to Belfast (it's more Irish than Dublin and cheaper too!). You can go around the murals and then up to the giant's causeway.

It depends on where you are staying. You don't want to spend most of your day traveling. My favorite place is Glendalough in Co. Wicklow.

i would go to galway have a splash around the beach, do cliff diving in salthill and then hit the bars for some folk music and all round banter and if you can afford it stay in the G hotel but that is if you have money-it is stunning.

A day trip in Ireland?

Okay you could drive to the most south western part in Kerry...stop, have a quick look around, get in the car and drive back to Dublin again!
That way you get to see the countryside on the left side going down, and on the right hand side going back up...

I somehow believe my sarcasm will be lost on you.

tourism is based in dublin and a bit in cork. if you go anywhere else you will have to travel far between activities.
