December in Dublin Ireland, things to go do beside drinking, any ideas?
My brother is going to Dublin, Ireland this December, for the holidays (the 15 of Dec. to the 1st of Jan.) I am trying to help by finding out some things he can go and do. I know Dec. is a slow time of year for sight seeing but I want to know of things that are still open to see, besides endless pubs. We're from Colorado so the cold doesn't slow us down. Any web sites that have info on tours and what not would help greatly.
December is very pretty in Dublin. He will find things to do. Or he can just relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Traveling around the country is nicer as it isn't as crowded as in the warm(ish) months. Just go to the usual Ireland tourist websites - it will say the months that places are open.
Ireland isn't really very cold compared to the northern parts of the US - but the damp/rain combined with the wind can be chilling. It's more like late Autumn weather in the US.

Is it wise to let him go if he has a drinking problem?
