Did anyone go to the Father Ted fest in Ireland this year?

If so, would you recommend it as an event not to miss next year.
Additional Details
Is it held on the Aran Islands, or the mainland?

Hello Mary,
Inishmore in the Aran Islands is a good location for the Ted-fest, but I have never been there since I was a child of about 6 yrs old and cannot recall why my fATHER TOOK ME THERE, maybe to show me the cliffs and I managed to dodge being chucked over them,
Kilfenore, in County Clare is the mainland location for the mainland festival, and personally I would prtefer to treasure the Memory of Dermot Morgan...RIP... for he put a certain new light on the Catholic Faith, well ably assisted by the very funny Father's -in-sin, albeit irreverently, but well worth the laughs it brought to us. And that tea lady, c'mon how much tea can a man drink for heavens sake?
Go to the Mainland Ted-fest Mary and see how many priests gather there too, purely in the interests of research..enjoy the events Mary, you will be in for a lot of laughs, and where else would the be able to sell you all the DVD's and Videos, of all the Ted series in one place at the same time,,read the T shirts carefully tho' ha ha ha ha..Tony M

Ted Fest 2008 was on Inishmore and on the mainland at Kilfenora, County Clare (site of Parochial House external shots in the series). God I would have loved to go!

EvelynThe ModifiedDog.
I am both gladdened by the fact that such a thing exists, and saddened by the fact that I didn't know about it, & therefore wasn't there.

I should be doing something else
