Yes, I did. The results of the irish disapora can be very interesting.
I wonder, had they not turned out to be "THE BEATLES" - would they just be considered plastic paddies and told - "You're not really Irish at all; you've no Irish blood?"
Odd how worldwide fame changes some things.
Edit - I think the question makes it clear that they are English of Irish descent. It just says their family is of irish descent, not that they were born in Ireland. Ex: Paul's parents were James McCartney and Mary Patricia Mohin. Both are of Irish descent. Paul's maternal grandfather was born in Ireland, making him eligible for Irish citizenship if he wanted.
Liverpool was a magnet for emigrating Irish looking for jobs, and the port that most ships left for America from - with many Irish aboard. |

♪I ♥ George Harrison 4 Ever♪♫
|
Yeah, because Great Britain is right near Ireland.
George Harrison grew up in Liverpool England, as well as the other 3 Beatles. And Daisy George's full name is not Harold Harrison, his father was named Harold Harrison. George's name is George Harold Harrison. The only Beatles that changed their names were Paul and Ringo. John and George kept their original names. George Harold Harrison was born on February 25th, 1943 in Liverpool, England. James (Paul) McCartney was born on June 18th, 1942 in Liverpool, England. John Winston Lennon was born on October 9th, 1940 in Liverpool, England. and lastly, Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr) was born on July 7th, 1940 in Liverpool, England.
According to imdb all 4 of The Beatles were born in Liverpool, England on the Merseyside. Check out this site:

Hope I helped! |

Hello
 |
Well DUH!!!
More than half of the population of Liverpool is of Irish descent.
The irony is that the people in that city are some of the most passionately "English" men and women in England (count the number of St. George flags flying there). One can only wonder what their Brit-hating ancestors would think of them now... |

Nope ,all I know about them is that they were formed in Liverpool |

It doesn't surprise me. The Irish diaspora went in every direction, and many, many well known people have Irish ancestors .... including US presidents (and hopefuls), various film stars and countless others. |

Gee I thought it was all four. Most of the population of Liverpool are originally from Ireland. Do you know why?
They migrated to find work, because in North Ireland you can not work if you are Irish(not supplanted by British).
Did you know that George's name is really Harold George Harrison? |
|

IRISH AND PROUD
|
o really never knew that!!! thanks!! |

Sarah

They were all born in Liverpool, England.
I just looked them up individually on Wikipedia. Maybe their families were from Ireland, but they were all born in England. |
