No, Irish Government do not require UK citizens to carry passport, but you should carry ID. Airline may require photo ID - passport or drivers licence

Just William
You should not need it but it is always advisable to carry it or some other form of identification.

If you're flying with Ryanair you need a passport. You will probably get away with good photo ID for the other airlines.

murnip
No you only need identification.

Christine
If you have a passport then bring it, if not, check with the airline your using, they all seem to have different rules, but I always just stick with my passport

penelope pitstop
No. You need photographic id.

Caoimhe M

yes you will need it

Depending on what airline you're travelling with you won't need a passport. Most will just require photographic identification such as a driving licence, student id card, age card, work card.... but some airlines like Ryanair will only allow you fly on a passport, check the individual airline prior to travelling

Just passing the time!
yes you will enjoy Dublin...great place!

Yes you need your passport. You don't need to get it stamped for Ireland and England are both part of the EU but you will have to show it going into Ireland.

Chances are you won't need to show your passport for most of the time they don't look however, in case they do...
