No Belfast is in the UK, you just need some identification for the airline

greenorlagh

You need some form of ID - such as a passport or drivers licence.

if you are an english or irish national you can fly between the two islands with a passport or photo ID such as a drivers liecence.its not a problem

MorboWillDestroyYou!
If you are a UK resident then no you do not need a passport to get into Ireland. However airlines require some form of photo ID these days so it wouldn't hurt to carry it with you.

Depends on a few things actually. Some airlines eg Ryanair have an online checking service for which you need a passport as the passport number needs to be entered. However if you use the desk check in (which costs a little extra) then you can use the photo-card driving licence. Hope this helps

well if you go wit ryanair and do online check-in you mite, but i only know from dublin... in general, photo id will do! :)

Recognised 'Photo id is fine (drivers licence, etc)

Graham
You don't need a passport but you do need a photo ID. Its always safer to have a passport though epically if your travelling with Ryanair.

Yes !!

Christine
Do you hold a British passport, or not? If not, then yes you do need a passport, if yes, check with your airline, some will accept other relevant ID, like a drivers licence. However, this agreement is coming to an end soon.

Yes, always need one if you fly these days.

someone91
Firstly, Belfast is in Britain, not Ireland.
So seeing how you're flying within one country, no.
For internal UK flights you just need a photo ID such as a drivers license, not specifically a passport but it is valid - check with the airline

yes u need a passport but u don't need a visa

ClaireABell
yeah you do lol

WESLEY L
You do not need a passport for "immigration" purposes as you are staying within the uk.

HOWEVER
All the airlines will require you to have a passport as a means of identification, so the answer is YES.

.

Dinkydoo
Yes you do as you are travelling to a different country.

Which confuses me as you don't have to have one to travel to England from Scotland.

Or is it only if you are changing islands?

FreakGirl
you sure do x.

upandaway
yes you do

LordDakon
