Ballymartin, Co Down is in Ireland.
Co. Down which is one of the nine counties of Ulster (6 of them make up the statelet of Northern Ireland) has some lovely places and Ballymartin is one. It lies south of Newcastle on the coast road to Kilkeel. I live in Downpartick, the county town of Co. Down and just about 20 miles from Ballymartin. Come over to Ireland some time and visit.

I have been many times to Northern Ireland, but somehow haven't been to this spot. I will look out for it next time.
Ballymartin (in Irish: Baile Mhic Giolla Mhártain, or Gilmartin's Townland) is a small village in County Down, Northern Ireland, near Annalong. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 414 people. It lies within the Newry and Mourne District Council area.

Going south through Ballymartin it is easy to miss the small beach well below road level. Black Rock at Point Sands is a popular diving spot.

i love that area-it's a wee village so very different from london i'm sure but it has beautiful scenary and the people of co. down are very friendly. i'm sure you miss him a lot but if it's any consolation i'm sure he's very happy there. presuming you live in london or thereabouts-you're only ever a short plane journey away from him.
