Unless you want to be watching some awful Irish shows you watch the British ones. The Irish channels show mainly British shows as well.

Is máith liom cáca millís!
Yes.

Our Irish TV channels cover Eastenders, Cornation Street, Britain's Got Talent etc. Houses that have SKY/Chorus etc. have the majority of the same channels as the UK.

We also have alot of UK stores in Ireland, so I suppose that is an influence.

yes we have most british tv channels, itv, bbc1, bbc2 sky, living, channel 4, e4, mtv etc.... so yep we watch corrie eastenders big brother and every other british programme aswell as all our own irish channels too

In Ireland, we get TV content from the following countries :

Ireland,
England,
USA.
Australia,
Canada

among others.

LOUIELOU: N.Ireland is part of the UK but that has nothing to do with the question. "Great Britain and N.Ireland"
N.Ireland therefore is not british.

now to answer the Q. : yes we do have british tv, i particularly love to watch corrie, eastenders, emmerdale, big brother, i could go on lol

Kris......
Yes of course we do, I find it amazing that there are still some people who think we live in the dark ages, last week someone asked if we have telephone boxes!, we have the same access to a lot of different countries TV, and we also get the latest US TV shows such as lost and the CSIs etc before the UK.

submissivmsle36
hi you
yes everything you see on TV in the UK can be seen in Ireland but in north of Ireland and the east coast all you need is an aerial but when you come south from the north of Ireland and west of the east coast you will need sky, a free to air box or a cable network to view them i can safely say that about 85% to 95% of homes hotels and bars/pubs and resturants now show all uk tv in my house alone we have 2 sky boxes and 1 free to air box

when the sun goes down
yes we have the british cahnnels and american channels (on digital etc.) along with our own channels

cutie girlie
yea we do we have only 4 irish channels lol

Pyro
I have Sky Plus so I pretty much get all the awesome channels!

it depends on the channels you have really. there are 4 irish channels; RTE1 RTE2 TV3 and TG4. TV3 is the channel that does most of the british tv, but if you have sky or chorus/ntl you get loads of british channels. But alot of ye might not know that sky channels Bubble Hits and Channel6 were made in Ireland. Bubble hits was made in IS NOT BE PART OF BRITAIN.
