Do people in Northern Ireland never eat? |
If so, why are there no restaurants in Belfast?
Great city in every other respect :-)
OK, I'm sure there are a few but they are hard to find, often full of ppl with kids and you have to queue :-(
In Dublin for example you can find different kinds of restaurants everywhere. Additional Details I meant around the main shopping area, around the City Hall. There are so few restaurants there. |

Don't tell my boss I'm on here

There are but I can see how you couldn't find them. The streets behind city hall are like a maze but there are a few good restaurants.
There is Zen, in Adelaide Street. It is a Japanese restaurant.
James Street South which is located in James Street South
Deanes in Howard Street
The Red Panda - Great Victoria Street (Chinese)
Bourbon - Great Victoria Street
Irene and Nans - Brunswick Street
There are lots more, that's just a few, have a look on here for your next visit : http://www.myvillage.com/belfast/restaurants |

Studies conducted last week by the Diet weekly confirm your thinking. People in N. Ireland never eat. Its an amazing skill and means they can work longer, sleep longer and play longer. Still I fancy ice cream ! |

To open a restaurant around the shopping areas at the City Hall would be like pouring money into a black whole - they would never be able to afford the rent around those areas.
You need to look in different places. There are plenty of restaurants in Belfast. Try the Cathedral Quarter or the top floor of Victoria Square. |

Dublin has too many, which are always empty. It's better when there's only a few. |

So you can't find a restaurant in Belfast so that represents the whole of Northern Ireland? Get a life. Belfast is a dirty hole, you'd have been better off in Enniskillen, Armagh, etc etc plenty of places to eat there. |

???? There are plenty of restaurants in Belfast...where exactly are you looking? It's a great town for food and going out. Get a tourist guide and go from there if you need some direction. |
