You can't use STG in the Rep but if you are venturing up to the North, most places up there will take the Euro if this is any help. |

I don't live in Dublin, I live in a part of Ireland near the border with Northern Ireland, and here many shops take both sterling and euros.
That said, the exchange rate they give you is ABYSMAL. |

euros only in dublin!!!
but if you were to go to N.Ire a lot of the border towns will accept Euro, but like in Toronto withe US$ the exchange rates are pretty bad |

They only take euros! the only place in dublin that will take the english pounds is that bank!! |
