Do you think we have are being bullied into voting yes for the Lisbon Treaty?

or do you reckon the politicians really do have our best interest at heart this time?

so far, Sinn Fein are pretty much the only ones telling us to vote no.

do you reckon people who haven't bothered researching the pros and cons of the treaty will just go and vote yes because most of the government is ordering them to do so?

it's a definite no from me btw.
Additional Details
clo, good point but, but i think it is better to have people vote for a "no" vote if they don't really know what they are doing rather than a "yes", because once it's a "yes" vote there is no turning back...

What I really don't like is that whenever there is a news story about this treaty there is someone representing another European country saying how Ireland is the only one not to like this treaty, that every other country whole heartily follows it

And yet the people(not the government) from these other represented countries, I have found, seem to be very bitter about not getting a chance to vote and don't seem at all happy about the treaty as a whole!

It feels like they are using peer pressure on us to get us to vote yes

They're trying to bully us, Not very successful though.

I'm voting No.

well i'm too young to vote,just 15

but my mam dad and bro are all voting no and most of my relatives too

i've actually researched a bit and i feel the cons, vastly, outweigh the pros
i think the voting public will come to their senses and vote no.

I think the simple answer to this is yes. My problem is with the ' Yes ' campaign led by the Government is that they have not giving us all of the facts and explained the long term ramifications. I have done my own research and I am quiet appalled where the Lisbon Treaty will take us. I have no doubt this is a ' European Constitution ' in another guise, the same thing the French and the Dutch voted against. There is a French white paper on enhanced EU military cooperation been introduced on the 17th June. It has been strongly suggested by European commentators that this document is been kept under wraps until after the vote. To my knowledge the only people in Ireland that has even mentioned this in Ireland is Libertas.
The ' Yes' campaign keeps saying this is a good deal for Ireland and a good deal for Europe. Why are we the only country getting a chance to vote on this ?, quiet simply this legislation if put before all EU citizens would never get through.
I have always been very much for Ireland's participation in the EU , but I have a really bad feeling about this treaty so I will be voting NO.

Morning G

Everyone who has mentioned the vote in Ireland has said they will vote no

If a positive vote is returned, I would be very suspicious of foul play. If the opinions on YA are to be believed there should be a huge vote against

No, I reckon I'm being bullied into voting NO. All these posters saying 'people died for your freedom', etc etc show me a country where this does not apply? Its an insult to the intelligence of every day working Irish people.

I can make my own mind up without the scare mongering tactics of the likes of Sinn Fein, thank god.

Lo
I agree that the "Yes" campaign can be perceived as bullying, however i feel it is more panic on the goverments behalf!
However I am becoming increasingly annoyed with the lies on the side of the "No" vote campaigners, in particular on the campaign posters!
I throughly agree that people who havent bothered researching shouldnt vote but i feel that is where the problem lies that many people will vote "No" in order to rebel against the government despite the fact that they really have no idea what they are voting for!!
By the way im a Yes vote..

Kris......
I too am voting no, I have also heard that if people don't bother to vote, then their 'none' votes will be turned into a 'yes',
I don't know how true that is, but if it come's back a positive vote, then that could be a reason, if they are allowed to do that.
