ireland

Why When How
It is the biggest county in Ireland and lies in the SW of the country.

It's biggest city is Cork.

By asking this question in the way you have, you have not done a lot to dislodge the stereotypical view some have of Americans.

Good Luck

harry

County Cork is in the South-West of Ireland and is the large county in the Republic. Cork is the main city (also of the region) and located on the River Lee. Other towns are Mallow, Kinsale, Cobh, Mitchelstown, Midleton, and Bandon. Try Google Earth?

And as an FYI, before you start going too far with the Co.Cork love, know that a large number of emigrants to the US left from Cork, so most "Irish-Americans" think they're from Cork, when its just where they left from

Katie D
it is in the south of the country, towards the west. (look it up on google earth).
It is also the largest county in Ireland (although not the capital).
