Yes, and we have had lovely warm sunny summers - I remember one year there was a day in County Clare when it was 31 C, and it was much colder in Italy on that day, with rain.
However, the most philosophical way of looking at summer in Ireland is to see it as a state of mind rather than a state of weather.
