It has an excellent reputation. It is one of the best in the country, fantastic courses, great students.
In fact, most Asians studying here go for the UL.
It is brilliant...it really is and I think it is underrated!
I have many friends and family who have been attending courses and they don't have one bad word to say about it. The grounds are breathtaking and plenty of accommodation and amenities nearby, and excellent sport facilities, gym, huge swimming pool.
Check out their website for more info: |

Why does every college tell you that Limerick University is great?
Seriously, it has a very good reputuation. I didn't go there.
I don't believe it is part of the National University of Ireland, I think it's independent. |

Did you really think the University would tell you it's a terrible place to further your education?
Ask around and do your homework. |

Every College tells you that. Thats not to say that they don't. But of course they aren't going so sit there and tell you that they are completely mediocre, are they? |

Yes it really does. It is part of the National University of Ireland that is made up of 5 colleges of which UL is one. It is an excellent university. VERY competitive entry. Like all university's it depends on what it is you want to study as may be better know for different areas rather than others so keep this in mind. It is a beautiful campus too. Another bonus is that it is a lot less expensive to live near there than UCD or UCG (two of the other NUI colleges).
Good luck in your decisions! |

Every college will obviously bolster its own reputation, and I didn't attend UL myself, so I can't say for sure.
But, for the record, Limerick is not part of the NUI - only UCD, UCC, UCG and Maynooth are. Limerick is not recognised by the NUI. |
