Does anyone feel sorry for the Waterford people?

We hate to say we told you so, but we told the Deise people that they'd be mauled alive by the cats.
Still we'll give ye 10 points for this question and ye might be able to add it to the 13 ye scored today.......

It was disappointing alright. Although the first few minutes were exciting!

God, I had to pay 35 quids just to get into the only pub in the city that was showing the game. (I live in Canada).

But hey, it was the first time in nearly 50 years that they made it that far, so ye've got to give them that! They played like sh!te but I'm still pround of them lads.

i am from waterford but the deise were beaten by a better team today

I live in Co Waterford, but watched the match in Co. Tipp with me mum (who used to play Camogie for Tipp many moons ago)
Fair enough the Deise were beaten fair an square by the better team - good on ye, but things are not so bad for us - my youngest has a half day off school tomorrow as it has taken us 45 years to get to this All-Ireland !.
The trip back to Waterford was great, we passed Fiddown with all the cats supporters outside the pub and when they saw my car bedecked in Deise flags and blue and white they gave me a great cheer when I beeped and waved !. That's the beauty of Hurling - no hard feelings.

See ya next year pg.

Sure they didn't play an ounce of hurling but spent half the match hanging out of kilkenny players and fouling off the ball. If ye want to win a match then start hurling! If kilkenny can do it then the rest of the country need to get off their arses and match the standard. Waterford only had two players playing as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah I feel really sorry for them! Jaysus Kilkenny was brutal. And I would be Kilkenny supporter myself.

"Sorry for" is going a bit far. "Disappointed in" fits better.

I'm not bitter.

I'll bet they're hurling at the result! How's Mange by the way?

As a Dub than I can empathise with the Waterford people, its not a good feeling being totally hammered.

Probably a bad result for the GAA.

I'm nearly as sick of the 'Cats' as I am of Kerry winning the football. No wonder I'm a dog lover. LOL

Seeing as it was the All Ireland, it was the two BEST teams that got as far as today. It's no shame to be second out of 32. That means ahead of the other 30 counties. They should be mighty proud they were up there at the top, and next year they might get that one step higher !!!

Kris......
I am from Co Waterford as well, and they got well and truly stuffed by the better team.

No, not really.
