When you get there, you might be able to apply for a work visa through your job (my cousin did it this way)

It's really difficult for non-EU citizens to work in Ireland. One fast-track way could be to get married (assuming your boyfriend is an Irish citizen or has legal status). Check with an Irish lawyer.
Or if you enroll as a student you're allowed to work a certain number of hours. But student fees for non-EU citizens are horrendous, so it mightn't be worth it.

A pass port would do the same thing.
But don't be stupid. Going to Ireland for the boyfriend is radical and senseless. Unless of course you have nothing better to do here.
