Ours is in ruins (no roof left) and last I heard some British guy owned it. Oh to have seen it in its glory!

My friend does

Back in the eleventh century, the O'Brien family most likely owned a castle. Not too sure about these days, probably foreclosed.

I should be doing something else
Yes, Leap Castle is owned and occupied by the Ryan family.

Yep, my dad owns a castle in wales (i think!) and one in Kildare.
I really cold, big and kinda creepy so i never stayed in it!
But ya, my dad could have bought us a house in majorca, but noooo..... he bought a friggin castle in kildare!

My family have Blarney Castle. Pretty close relatives actually but I've never me them. I would think it would be a pain in the *** more rather than cool. Not to mention the heating bills you'd need for an old drafty castle.

I can't imagine a bigger pain in the backside then owning a castle - they must cost a fortune to maintain & as for the heating bills, I'd rather live in a caravan

Yeah there are a goo few people who own and live it castles all over the country. A lot have bought them or inherited them and done them up, or some donate a part of the castle for tourists to visit and live in the other part, like Abbey Castle
