Yes we have railways. The site below has a map which shows the cities linked by rail. You can click on the sidebar for timetables and fares.

Dirk D
Of course! But they network is not very extensive, most cities aren't directly connected and small towns, not to mention villages, usually can't be reached by train.
And it's VERY expensive.
If you don't mind a bit of bouncing and looong hours on a bus, that's your best option. Buses are cheap enough and go everywhere.
If I were you though I would rent a car, to stop wherever you want and be able to get to the beaches...

Yes but it's quite expensive. The bus is much cheaper, as other people have said

Why would we not have railwys?? Well any way yes we do go to http://www.irishrail.ie/home/ for train times, railway travel and tickets ect...

Yes of course we do! Visit www.irishrail.ie and you can get details of all trains and plan your journey by keying in the start and finish stations.

There are also buses which travel between towns and I think these are actually cheaper than trains. Visit www.discoverireland.ie for details of all the things to do and see. This site will also give links to several other sites and you should find all you need to know about travel and everything else there.

Enjoy
