if you get asked for ID and they see you are 2 weeks away from being 18 they are still legally obliged to turn you away as your Not 18 yet.

brightonsmiley
yes you will. anyone that asks for ID will have to turn you away no matter how close it is

fiddler
If you look 18 you'll have no problem.

Podge and Rodge Tribute Band
The 'official' Irish drinking age is 18. But as it's Ireland, if you look 14 or over you'll probably be served.

shakermaker
you will be 18 then? you should be ok, i could get served when i was 17 never been asked for id

Well Hello there ;)!
If u look old enough they may not ask for id, dont hold ur id hands wen goin up to the door. if ur goin with a group of lads usually groups of guys who look like they're "trouble" will be refused and if u dont get served in an offliecence sometimes if u ask some1 to buy u drink they might but make sure they are young etc..

even though ireland and the UK are different countries they have the same drinking age of 18

you'll need ID,definitely in ireland there's a big crackdown

off licenses may be hard on you but as long as you have photo id you should be ok. bars and clubs so-so if your with a local you should get served allright. A word of advice if anything kicks off keep out of it, the gardi don't take shi't and if your going to the north of ireland stay well clear of trouble. the norths very clicky and dangerous if you dont know the craic.

The legal drinking age in the UK and Ireland is 18, although some of the larger bars have adopted a 21s-and-over door policy. Said bars WILL be careful about checking ID. Others... well, it varies widely according to area, but most of London is pretty hot on it.

In recent years, staff have got a lot hotter on ID checking, and much of the UK operates a Challenge-21 policy, where if you look under 21 you'll be asked if you're 18.

no problem getting into pubs. different story in scotland though (21 there, yikes!) you'll only have trouble in night clubs if you are under 18 but you'll be ok in pubs. my friends and i never got carded and some of us looked young.

its 18 to get into pubs and clubs and that
id is required in clubs after 21.00

tanika971
they might well ask for ID so make sure you bring some with you as you will be underage to drink at time of holiday.

Well you might chance it.I'm 18 now,and all last year i used my passport to get into clubs even though i was 17. Some places that are not in the city centre are less strict on id!. Have a great trip!

hi here in Ireland the legal age is 18 to drink but before you do any dance of joy some bars and clubs over here don't serve under 21`s this is also the case in the UK, i would also carry some form of i.d with you even doe passports the the job i would not use bar staff will take it and keep it if they think it is a fake but don't let that put you off i see no real problem but do carry i.d with you
