Dublin Park 'n' Ride? |
Not getting the ferry back home from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead till 6pm on Sat 22nd Sept and so have planned to spend the day in Dublin sightseeing. Does anyone know if there is any form of park and ride in Dublin or if there is some car park outside of Dublin where i can leave the car and get either a train or bus into the city centre?
Any info much appreciated. |

This all depends on what part of the country you are driving from.
The best idea, in my opinion, is to drive to Dún Laoghire and park at the ferryport. Across the road you can get a train direct to Dublin City (about 25 minutes). When you are done sightseeing just get the train back to Dún Laoghaire.
While the Luas is great, it could take you over an hour to get from either of the Park'n'Rides already suggested to the ferryport. |

Park your car in Dun Laoghaire and take the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) train to the city centre. Takes about 25 minutes.
Make sure you park your car in a good place though. You wouldn't like it to be clamped! |

You can get the Luas from the Red Cow Roundabout. Their is a big car park there. Very easy access to the city via the Luas. Enjoy your day. |

Mind ur business!!

Get the Luas in from the Red Cow Roundabout, you can park the car there and it only costs the price of your ticket on the Luas no extra for parking |

drive down the M1 as far as Whitehall (just at end of M1) on left is a car park and you can get a bus into city, enjoy your day. |
