Really depends on what you're into. Temple bar does have a good few shops and an interesting food market on the weekend, but some of the clubs there are pretty bad. Try going up to the Gaitey Theatre on the weekends nights if you want to go out, it's a pretty good place. 3 Differant bands, 2 disco's, old movie playing... good spot.

If you want to do something fun, I'd recommend the Dublin Ghost Bus. You can catch that on O'Connells street at 8pm nightly. It's a guided tour around the "haunted" area's of Dublin etc. I've brought a number of friends on it from England, America, Australia etc, and they've always loved it. It's not scary, just cheesey and hillariously funny.

If you like your outdoor pursuits, take a trip up to Glendalough, it's pretty scenic up there and has some good sites and views to see.

temple bar - busy bars , shops, nightlife

guiness brewrey/kilmainham/Trinity college

Viking splash down the river liffey in dublin city centre - good fun

Kilmainan (not sure of spelling) Jail is well worth a visit. A good and really interesting half day out.

Stalk The Clarence.. you might see Bono come out of there .. hehe

I agree with * jasmine *, you could also visit the botanic gardens in glasnevin, only 15 minute bus ride from city centre

Hi, Ohhh i love Dublin, well get on a tour bus they are on O'Connell St it's a hop on hop off bus all day and costs around 14 euros, the Guinness storehouse is well worth a visit, at the very top there is a 360 degree view of the city, and a free pint of Guinness it's lovely. The bus takes you to all the main tourist attractions, Jameson Factory, Phoenix Park. And as someone said there is a ghost bus at night on O'Connell St. Henry St. is fantastic for shopping (it's next to the Post Office on O'Connell St.) and Cleary's Department Store is lovely. Have a great stay.....

Alivia
dundrum town centre - a short ride on the luas. european biggest shopping mall, its great and really new.
