The best rate and not well known is the one that marks and spensers offer. Recently found out about this myself and they can add quite a bit to a large exchange

if you are using the hole in the wall it would have to be nationwide which offer the best excahnge rate by far,

Hope that helps..

nobody puts baby in the corner
Go to a Post Office...they do it for free with a good rate x

Jo Jo
Go to a halifax ATM when you get to Dublin, that way you shouldn't be charged extra fees. Theres one in College Green and Stephens Green in the City centre.

Try this for more info:

Have a good weekend!

You would certainly get Euros from a cash machine in Dublin
but the Halifax would charge you for the exchange (fair enough) but if you could not find a machine that specifically took the Halifax card then you could have to pay for using that machine.

Trish D
Use an ATM.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES use a private 'bureau de change' as suggested here.

YORKSHIRE
Money from an ATM will give you the best rate but Dublin is going to cost you a fortune anyway. Have a good weekend and sink a few of the black stuff for me.

Victoria
well euros are more expensive them american money and if you use the ATM it charges you, so just go to your bank and tell them that you need to exchange money for euros

Guaranteed Irish!!!
