top 'ah de marnin to ye................

no really. all irish people say ...."ehhhhhh". everyone. no lie no joke. its ehhhh. ive never thought about it till now tho! actually and sometimes "ehhhhhhmmmm".

gk
Uhhh and Ummmm would indicate confusion or worse ,a thoughtless pause... Truly non Irish traits.
Answer we don't say anything and save the time for sipping. Cheers.

Anyone who uses an abundance of "ummm" and "uhh" should really refrain from speaking because obviously they have nothing to say.

aye i say uhhhh nd ummmmmmm the whole time before stuff. bt only a small bit like in school. ,,Anthony, question 3 please.'' ''eh miss i dont have my copy'' or ,,em Parnell founded the Home Rule Party'' as do my class mates. then again it could just be a midlands thing because our old principal was from Kerry in the south and he didnt understand why we did it.

That is a stupid question.

Do you think we don't have it in our vocabulary!

kit
Instead of "uhhh" we say "aahh". Instead of "uummm" we say "am". Basically we replace your U with an A
