As many have said....Temple Bar
Its the most expensive place in Dublin, but if you go during the week, there is often "offers" on drink...
(also, a little trick we do is to slip a small bottle of vodka in my bag so i dont have to buy so much in there lol)
Id recommend.....
Dorans (GREAT live music and food)
If youre young (18-20) try Barcode (thursdays are cheapest btw!)
21's
Reds
The Viperoom
Whelans
Theres alway great music in Tripod....it a lovely place too
If you want a really "irish" pub....try Johnnie Fox's pub, in Glencullen on top of the Dublin mountains.....out if the way, but it is the highest pub in Ireland lol
Bars aside,
You can visit Dublin Castle
the Dublin Spire is on O'Connells Street (extremely overated but very tall lol)
Depending what youre into, theres lot of museums and art galleries such as the National Gallery and the Irish Museum Of Modern Art.
(as already mentioned) there are some great bus tours
Phoenix Park
Grafton Street/Henry Street (for shopping!) - theres a cool vegetarian cafe called "Nude" near there too lol
If you want to go to a shopping centre, go to "Dundrum Town Centre.
Also, taxis are very costly here....if you can, get the Nightlink (bus) which operates in Dublin in the early hours!!
Have a great holiday!!!!

Dublin is expensive but depending on where you're coming from - and the exchange rate. There is loads to do, Guiness is a good tour to do and the view from the bar is brilliant. Stephen's green is a lovely park, if you want to go shopping Grafton st or henry street. Temple Bar has loads of pubs.... You wont be short of that!!! Enjoy! |

As somebody already said I think the voodoo lounge on the quays or Dorans in Temple Bar are the best for live music. As for Night Clubs, i think probably Copper faced Jacks or if you're into a bit of alternative music i.e. electronica, drum and bass, try the temple bar music centre, it's not too busy but always a good time to be had. Yes Dublin is expensive but some museums are free and there's always the zoo. Make sure you have enough money. If you're going to pubs or clubs you'll need at least 100 euro a night (probably double that if you drink a lot!)
Have a good time |

Hi, When you get to Dublin City Centre on O'Connell St there are tour buses, take a tour around the city it's a hop on off bus all day, it's around 14 euros, Guinness Factory is well worth a visit there is a 360 degree view of the city and it's fantastic. There is also a Ghost bus at night on O'Connell St. Henry St is great for shopping, it's right next to the Post Office on O'Connell St. Temple Bar is the area for pub's also when you are on the tour bus they tell you where the best places to go for pubs/clubs. Dublin can be expensive, but shop around for food. You still get the McDonald's/Burger King. There is also a M & S for sandwiches. Have a great stay i love Dublin, |

I have always loved O'Donoghue's Pub on Merrion Row, it just off St.Stephen's Green. It's a traditional pub. It's not too pricey and it serves food, of good quality. Dublin is expensive and Temple bar probably the most expensive. Shop around though, it is good for a bargain too. Be sure to investigate the narrow side streets all around Grafton street and Dame street. There is alot of very interesting stuff to be found. Hope you have a lovely stay in Ireland........and that it doesn't rain!!!! |

POCKET JOKERS - THE DARKSIDE
 |
It's expensive enough. i wouldn't reccomend Temple Bar cause it's nearly €5.50 for a pint!!
Try Voodoo Lounge Bar, it's excellent, multiple floors and your guaranteed a great band.
As for a nightclub go to D2 or Copper Faced Jacks, they're lively any night of the week.
As for places to go, if you like animals then go to the zoo, it's massive and a great day out!!
Have a great time, J. |

Podge and Rodge Tribute Band

Try The George ;-)
Dublin is very expensive. It's 20 euro for a pint of plain. |
