Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland which is part of the UK along with England Scotland and Wales so you don't need a passport.

I should be doing something else
UK consists of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, so no, you will not need a passport, just any form of photographic ID.

No as Belfast is part of the UK. (The country we live in now)

Why When How
Belfast is in the UK, so no.

immortalbeloved.belfast
Answering as a Belfast girl born and bred you don't need a passport although going by the recent weather an umbrella or perhaps a canoe would come in handy. Have a great time, enjoy the craic!

IRISH AND PROUD

Belfast is part of the U.K. anyway, so no, you don't need a passport. In fact, you don't need a passport to visit ANY part of Ireland, (unless you are flying of course) I should know, I have just come back from Galway.

Do you need a passport to go from London to Birmingham? Of course not. ! Belfast is part of Uk. Southern Ireland is a foreign country. So crossing into a foreign country needs a passport. Going to Belfast is like London to Birmingham. No need.
