Has anyone been to Dublin in Ireland?

I should be doing something else

I live in Ireland and have been in Dublin numerous times. If you have never been before there are numerous historical points of interest that are well worth a visit like:
Oscar Wilde's House, Ha'penny Bridge, Famine Memorial, General Post Office, St, Stephen's Green, Phoenix park/Dublin Zoo.

Kilmainham Gaol is a real eye opener and everyone else I know who has been has found it fascinating http://www.kilmainham-gaol.com

Though I haven't done it myself, relatives of mine from Canada did the trad music pub crawl in Temple Bar and absolutely loved it (Tickets can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre - Suffolk Street)

The Guinness Storehouse is also a must see.

Temple Bar is the main area for bars and nightlife, and also has some great restaurants such as Boxty House which serves fine Irish quisine http://www.boxtyhouse.ie/

was in Dublin twice, 2005 and 2007 late, enjoyed 2nd visit more, stayed south of the liffey river near the university - lots of great pubs and so on, plenty of good company. 2005 stayed in the north suburbs which was very scruffy and drugs everywhere, this may have changed?plenty of places to visit and a lot of history, and shopping!

Yes. I live there :) Sorry but i dont know about much of the tourist attractions. You could go to dublin town to shop, dublin castle & there is a viking splash tour that is on a bus and you get wet . What season are you planning to go in ? Summer is usually around 15-ish to 25-ish degrees. Winter has a lot of rain :(

No, not yet but im moving to Aberdeen, Scotland due to my fathers work so i will most likely be going there soon. looks pretty interesting.
