Yes I have been, it was lovely all around.
Why - the people, the mood of the culture - very welcoming, with a dry humor, the history, the personal history (relatives and friends) and of course the ability to get a decent cup of tea anywhere which is very hard to do in my home country (US)
Overall a very nice country. |

I live in Ireland, I was born here, and I have lived abroad, mainly in mainland Europe.
Being an island person, I love living in Ireland, despite the psychotic weather and crazy prices. |

Yes! I used to live in England for 5 years and only got to visit Ireland one time. Weather is great (a little cool) people are so friendly and it is BEAUTUFUL! Green green green. You are driving along and you see castle ruins...kiss the Blarney Stone while you are there! |

I wasn't keen. Not enough potatoes for my liking. |

Been there...it's pretty, in a rustic sort of way, but there are no mountains, just slight hills. The food was not very good, and the culture is stifled by Catholicism and all the guilt and repression that goes along with it. |
