Have you ever kissed the Blarney Stone?

And if so, did you receive the gift of eloquence?

Yes, I kissed it. It it quite disgusting actually to see all the tourists queue up to go and lie down and put their head backwards to kiss this wet, grey “stone“, but when you“re visiting Blarney Castle & clmbed up the stairs to reach it, why leave without doing it?

redunicorn
Yes I kissed the Blarney Stone this summer but I had the gift of eloquence before (I am a storyteller.)

lollipop
no like how many people have kissed GERMS and anyway dont need the gift of the gab!!!

I don't think any Irish person has kissed the blarney stone. We talk enough as it is. The last thing we need is the gift of the gab.

ft3535
no I have not..I would love to some day..someday I will

but I have a friend who went through the whole thing..described it so much it felt like we were there..

so I want to go now..

I have. I think the gift of eloquence jinxed me. Every one is complementing my arch enemy, instead!!!

Yes....God knows why.....cause I don't. I have a picture of a man holding me as I bent backwards, starring at my lovely boobs....some racket they got there in Cork.

gooblysillyputty
I was there but too scared to lift my head back b/c im afraid of heights.

i live in cork but i actually havent... ive known people who have though, im not sure it really works. they actually call it the gift of the gab.

Sassy
No, I haven't. I did go to the Republic of Ireland several years ago, but in doing my research before the trip I read that locals urinated on it frequently as a joke on tourists.
Now that may or may not have been true, but kissing the Blarney Stone was not on my agenda after reading that. I will say I was enchanted with that country however.

tennredbear
id be willing to kiss any stone you would like for me to..

IrishGuitar70
No, but I was born on St. Patrick's Day.

Yeah, twice, but I don't think I gained any eloquence from it.
