Hi sorry to hear about your mom.
Well I live in Cork so cannot answer your question very well.
Like you could do Gymnastics as a sport if your cheerleading was advanced.

If you know the basis you do grand in the sport.
Like Cartwheel, splits, round offs.

http://www.irishgymnastics.ie/

Even if you are just fit you could start basic and work your way up.
I used do it when I was young.
Your hair will probably get darker because of the lack of sun.
It would depend.

Like if your wearing skirts then like you might need wear tights

Jeans are popular.

Sorry I cannot help more. They are a few people from the North in this
Form so I am sure they will be able to help you.

Good Luck

Edit: In your last question you mentioned what school you may go too and your real email address. Be careful do not give that much details about yourself on the internet.
This can be said for any place in the world.

Hi,

Your best bet clothes wise would be to pick up a few pairs of jeans, jumpers and jackets it isn't that cold in the spring or summer here but it can hardly be described as warm. A coat wouldn't go amiss either as you'll be guaranteed some rain.
I don't know any schools in NI which don't have uniforms with the exception of the Tecs (vocational schools some people go to at 16).

Sports wise the most popular ones will be Gaelic sports Camogie and Gaelic football, Hockey, Netball, soccer and Athletics, to be perfectly blunt the sports available will depend on the type of the school. If it's a Catholic School emphases will be placed on Gaelic sports, if it's a State school the main spots will be Rugby and Hockey.

I don't think there's anything like cheerleading over here, the closet thing we'd probably have is preforming arts.

Finally I would be amased if your hair changes colour but I'll admit I don't really know.

Good luck with the move!!

Here's a few links which you may find useful:

School's have uniforms so you don't need to worry about that.
Your hair colour will be fine LOL
No sorry we don't do cheer-leading over here. Maybe you could take up dance or gymnastics if you like that sort of stuff.
As for clothes, its normally quite mild so jeans, tops and a good warm coat is what you need!

:D
Email if you want to know anything else!!

Okay well im from dublin and here we dont have cheerleading and we have a uniform for school. dont even bother bringing skirts vests and shorts because its ireland and it rains ALOT! get hoodies jeans and runners. take up some camogie or football. but dont worry the irish are nice people and in my school no one is popular ye are all equel and if you go in thinking that you are going to be popular they will think you are snobby. so dont go there. and im not sure about your hair i say it will stay the same! good luck and hope you like it over here!

Hi there - fellow American who's been to the North a bit. Just dress as you would for winters in Arizona but with more rain. Ireland is damp and the North does get cold, so layers and sweaters are what you need. You don't need heavy winter gear though. Everyone wears jeans, and converse sneakers are popular there too. People dress similarly to the US, hoodies are everywhere. I have seen a lot of light Northface jackets on people.

Can't advise on school uniforms as I am long out of school and I haven't really noticed.

Your hair will go darker due to less sun

jumpers = sweaters
runners/trainers = sneakers
tights = stockings
vest = tank top

Aobhríl (Suburban Fairy)
1 but lots of jeans and jumpers, average temp ii winter is like 8 celsius, summer 13

2 depends are u prod or Catholic? u cud play camogie but if ur a prod u mite get weird looks, u can play any sport really but Gaeilic football, hurling and camogie are Irish

3No it wont, might go darker slightly cos of lack of sun bleaching

4 most schools hav gender based uniforms
