Help!where would be a safe place to stay in Dublin?

Im a college student organising travel and accommodation for some six form students (secondary school) to Dublin for a debating competition. Where would be the best place for them to stay, bearing in mind it has to be relatively cheap but safe and secure? ie; I dont want to send them to a really noisy part of Dublin like Temple Bar!

There are hostels well away from Temple Bar. Contact www.anoige.ie for more information.

Depends where the competition is being held, you don't want them miles from the hotel either

Ballsbridge would be safe but some hotels are very expensive however bewleys has reasonable prices. Lots of parts of Dublin are not safe at night and like anywhere new you need to be on guard during the day. Stephens green would be good too, there is a good hotel on leeson street that rents suites out for great rates.
