Hi there.. My partner and I are planning are moving to Ireland, where is the best place to live?

we are both 25 yrs old, from New Zealand. We were originally thinking Dublin, but have heard that it is super expensive.. We would consider a small coastal town (like the sea), but still want to be able to go out and party every now and then, and meet some other people our age.. We are primarily moving to Ireland to save some money to do some more travelling around Europe, but dont intend to live a totally quiet life!! Please help!! we are so confused,, Galway,, Cork, Kilkenny.... Or like a said maybe an up and coming coastal town with a good vibe and some good pubs!!!

Sorry ! but you are deluded if you think you will save enough money to fund future travel in Europe. It will take both of your incomes to just survive. Do come, but don't expect to leave with wads of cash. It's very expensive.

Galway is a good option, you could also try Limerick or Waterford.

i did the same thing.i love cork, killarney, galway, forget dublin!!.i lived in kinsale county cork some years ago.i used to go up to charles fort for walks,or drive up to the lusitannia monument on the Old Head and walk around the cliffs.but ya know what ,i saved nothing,i ended up broke .we couldnt get a house in the end so we left, its too expensive.the celtic tiger has, as elvis did, left the building.i now hear the irish government want to pay foreign workers to **** off back to their own countries.mate of mine over there has to come up with 60,000 euro deposit for a mortgage on a house.**** that!

Galway has everything, the sea, the nightlife, the scenery, the shops. You'll love it!

Cork, Kerry and galway all hug the Atlantic, so for scenery and water sports I recommend any of these.

waterford has great pubs
