How are or would Muslim/Arabvisitors be treated in Ireland?

ok, I am Irish and I can safely say that there isn't much of a racist problem that you think there is here, especially not aginst muslim/arab people...we have a very multi cultural society here, in Dublin particularly, and we have (among others) Persians,Lebanese,saudi, and many others who live and thrive here..I think there is a certain amount of paranoia in the UK with islamic fundamentalists,because of the propaganda about the middle easten situation, and any arab or islamic person is seen as a potential terrorist, I know how this feels being an Irishman who has visited England many times, and we were all seen as potential terrorists at one time or another...I think you already have the right Idea about Irish people, we are known as the friendliest people in the world for a reason, and you won't find out for yourself unless you come here, and I hope you do, you definately won't be disappointed..we have an old saying here to welcome visitors- cead mile failte ( a hundred thousand welcomes) I hope you have a wonderful time in my country and you will be welcomed with open arms, I can guarantee it

naw, plenty of arabs / muslims in ireland. levels of racism here are about the same as any other country. In general people here are friendly and accomodating. Anyways you are an american, you would be treated like any other visitor. I'm irish and have plenty of non irish friends from many countries and none ever had an issue here.

There is no racism here.

I'm an Irish student and there is a guy in my class who is from Iran and is Muslim and he is treated like one of us.

We don't like or dislike any religion we take everyperson 1 by 1

There would be more a racial issue up north where im from, if you stayed in a decent hotel you would avoid all the scum bags. but we are pretty tolerant all over. we would know you were from America staright away we have hta kind of 6th sense thing lol. so we would be pretty accomomdating. there is alot of cultures all over ireland than there has ever been,! but there is absaloutly nothing to worry about!
