How can I find cheap hotels in Dublin?

Quite honestly you can't. Dublin is a very expensive city. Try looking outside the city. There are B&Bs in COunty Meath. You could also try staying in Dun Laoghaire or Bray. The accomodation is more reasonable, and both cities are connected to the DART. Dun Laoghaire is maybe 20-25 minutes south of Dublin and Bray is perhaps 40 minutes south (on the DART).

If you are determined to stay in the city, the least expensive hotel in the city centre is probably the Royal Dublin on the north end of O'Connell St.

There are hostels on Mountjoy St (An Oise) and Aungier St (Avalon House).

go on to orbits.com. they have about 100 great 2-5 star hotels there and it really helps. they have a lot of options so even if your picky, it doesn't mater. they usually dint have any hotel that has all of it's rooms full and they hold open a spot for you and that's cool.

try these websites or goto the local tourist information centre, or if you live in the UK phone up your local tourist information centre and they might be able to book a hotel for you in ireland or they might be able to give you the phone number for the TIC in ireland

go to a hotel website (hotels.com is a good choice smart one)jk jk
