Yeah, grass is very hard to come by here. Most people can only get resin, and the quality is pretty poor. Many people who smoke weed grow their own. Rising energy costs mean the old hydroponics/lighting system is becoming less feasible and with the weather we have here it tends to be fairly impotent stuff so I wouldn't worry too much about your boyfriend. Many (by no means all) students smoke it with some frequency - once a week isn't that serious a habit.

LOL....smoking weed in Ireland is as common as it is anywhere else.

And yer boyfriend smokes weed more than once a week, trust me.

dude, when i was there i was miserable because i couldnt find any! and then when i did it was so expensive! i smoke a lot here in canada. its the good stuff. i was at life festival and i know there were stoners everywhere. i think it is just as common as anywhere else but costs a ot and you have to worry about getting bad weed. its in the hands of the criminals man! they tamper with our chron!

dubzson
People say that us Irish are smokers and druggies but were not.
It all depends on your upbringing, influences, personality and where he was born.
I would say he only smokes weed cause someone in his family did or cause hes from a rough part of dublin or cause when he was younger his friends did it so he did it.
Back then this is what they did but it has become less common now.
But I think he should give it up

where i'm from yeah it's really common. once a week isn't a lot at all. i'm not a stoner but a lot of my friends are and they do it more regularly than that.

IRISH AND PROUD

Its pretty common - I do every now and again - and, just for the record, in refrence to a comment above me, it is physically impossible to get an addiction to weed, and its harmless. Unless you walk into the liffey of course. And I know people who smoke every day and have done for 30 years and are in good health. Oh, its also really easy to get too.

*Alodia*
it is as common as it is anywhere else. it depends on the person and their friends and influences. im sorry but i'd say that he smokes alot more than once a week.

I would not say that is alot for an addiction.

How low will you campare yourself to to look good?

Set your standards higher

It is not a socialy acceptable as say it is in california. Someone in Ireland who smokes weed would be classed as a low life or an idiot.

The idea that someone who did smoke and was extreemly succesful in life or business would be lost on the Irish.
