cant believe some of the answers to this question!!!!! if he was straight would you be so nasty!!!
no point in saying bars he only 16!!!!
Even if you dont meet a boyfriend right now.It would be nice to meet up with gay guys your own age and sometimes friendship can lead to more. And making friends can never be seen as a bad thing.I think social groups and the like might be better idea if you hoping to meet people. You can get to know people alot better with out drink and see if you like them.
try these hope they help and good luck this

Sometimes, if you focus on finding a guy you want, it's even harder to find one.
It's like frantically looking for your lost keys... usually you don't find them unless you just chill, take a deep breath, relax and slowly put your mind at work, yet feel as if you've already found them.
Usually, I notice that when I don't worry about it, it usually gets easier.
It's like, have you ever seen Kenny vs. Spenny (a really funny show)? Two guys that live together and compete over silly things like: who can stand the longest.... Anyways... One of the guys (Spenny) tries too hard to win and is too safe in the game, where as Kenny is laid back, feels that he will win, is careless and barely even tries (Kenny almost always wins).
What you think about and feel about you bring about.
If you always feel like you'll never find your type and worry about having to search for it... then that's exactly what will happen.
If you picture your type of guy, think about him and feel like you already have him, you'll see a huge difference in your life. Trust me... Keep at this, and you will see change :)
Hope this helps ... :) |

Do you all have clubs up there?
Over here, we have clubs, and since you're gay, you might want to go to an all gay or lesbian club so everyone there knows what you're after. I don't know what your drinking laws are, but here you have to be 21 and usually that's how old you have to be to get into a club. But they do have College Night and stuff like that. It's something you might want to check into.
BUT. Never bring home anyone right after meeting them. I would hang out with them, exchange numbers and myspaces, and see where things go from there. Because someone you meet in a bar isn't always the type of person you would want to take home to meet the family haha. |

If you were of age, I would have suggested the "Gay Bars", perhaps if you loiter discreetly outside one of these establishments you might be lucky.
Just a suggestion. |

Some of these answers clearly show ignorance is alive and well in Ireland. Anyway I was actually gonna reply with nearly the exact same answer as Guaranteed Irish, totally agree with her, ya know your stuff girl!
Im gay, but in my twenties now but when I was your age I went to similar gay youth groups such as belongto and although you may not meet a fella you're into straight away, its a great way to make new gay friends, which widens yours gay social circle which has gotta increase your chances of meeting someone, right? Also I just found it a confidence boost and totally comfortable to be part of such a youth group at that age where everyone is in the same boat.
I hope you do attend BelongTo and best of luck in the future |

I can indeed. You know Capel Street, if you walk down the end of Henry Street in town at the bottom of that? Well if you turn right and walk up a bit there's a place called the Outhouse. Its kind of like a community centre/cafe kind of thing for gays. There's a group on called BelongTo (B2) that meet on saturdays and thursdays for LGBTs age 14-23ish!
www.belongto.org will tell you more
but basically its just like a youth group but better. They do outtings and stuff too but its basically just somewhere you can meet people. Even if you dont find a boyfriend there it'll get you more into the gay network, and who knows you might be set up with someone. |

Leave Dublin. Come to Limerick, great gay scene there. Try La Boutique in Dolan's every other weekend.
Oh, you're a little young for that. Sorry. But file it away for future reference. |
