hubby arrives of a flight on christmas eve at dublin airport, just wondering if anyone knows how far is the train station?
Or does the airport have buses that travel to train station??? Additional Details hmm ok he would be going to portadown as i can pick him up there rather than drive over 2.5hrs....
any suggestions as i cant seem to find out even on dublin airport site.....much appreciated xx

His best bet is to get the Aircoach bus service from Dublin airport to Hillsborough:
http://www.aircoach.ie/
It runs on the hour throughout the day.
Happy Christmas and safe travelling!

Shuttle bus at Dublin airport (I think it leaves every 30 mins, but am open to correction) will bring him to Connolly station, and he can get the Belfast train there. I am guessing that to get home to Portadown, he will need to get the Belfast train. Or he can get the Belfast bus at the airport and not go into the city centre at all. That's how I would go.
From http://www.buseireann.ie/site/airport_services/dublin.asp
All our Expressway services between Dublin and Belfast operate via Dublin Airport. There are 20 departures daily in both directions operating every hour from 05:00 to 21:00 inclusive and every 2 hours between 23:00 and 05:00. These services are operated in conjunction with Translink.
From looking at the timetable, I see that the Dublin bus (en route to Belfast) leaves the airport at 20 mins. past the hour, and that all the buses from 10 pm are cancelled because it is Christmas Eve.

ok you need to specify which train station as there are two major train stations in dublin city centre which are heuston & connolly....for more information try www.irishrail.ie.....try Dublin Bus's website www.dublinbus.ie for information on links from the airport to heuston....think they run a service for €5 single fare....the luas light rail system connects heuston to connolly on the red line....check out www.luas.ie....

like stoopid said, you need to specify a station? Where is he trying to get to once he lands?
