How long does it take to drive from Dublin to the Giants Causeway? (Portballintrae)?

I'm planning a trip in the next two years and I'm planning on staying in Dublin for a few days, then driving up to the Giants Causeway. Therefore I need to know how long it takes to drive there!

TIA :D

to drive to belfast from dublin city centre is about 2.5 hours. i would allow another 2 from belfast to the giants causeway.

It's a long drive there and back in one day. I suggest taking one less night in Dublin and spending that near the Giant's Causeway instead.

the hills have eyes
5-6 hours

All I can say it's a nice route, go ahead and do it but also do not forget to drive along Wicklow Mountains it's also lovely.

I think it would all depend on how fast you drive
