Out of 4.1 million people, 420,000 of those aren't Irish. From 2006 figures. I don't know how you define being 100% Irish, but I presume in this case it means being an Irish citizen or not. I'm sure it's somewhere else on the site though.

How far back would you have to go before you could say you were 100%? 2 generations, 4 generations, 10 generations, back to the Vikings?

I would estimate about a quarter of a million....many have come recently cos there's plenty of work, apparently.

as an irish person living in capital city youd be hard pushed to find irish person walking down an street:(country not as bad but it filtering dwn there too.say we all be better off leaving whats left of us

Well my grandfather was British and converted to Catholic to marry my grandmother and then switched back again. So does that make me 100% Irish?
