I live in NY and have flown from Kennedy airport to Ireland twice. Normally it takes around 5 1/2 hours. this may vary if you are not taking a direct flight. My last trip there, i had a layover in London, by the time I got into Dublin, it was about 6-7 hours. It does take longer to get back to NY, close to 7 hours due to your flying against the trade winds. |

It takes 6.5 hours from JFK to Shannon, and 7.5 hours back. (Traveling with or against the jet stream affects the time).
hint: If you take a Xanax first, you get there much faster. |
